A distinguished privately owned banking group, with its headquarters in Europe and operations spanning international locations across 4 continents, is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Chief Executive Officer for its Canadian operations.

The Role:

The CEO, will spearhead the Canadian business, providing visionary leadership to drive strategic growth while upholding the tradition of excellence. Working collaboratively with the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership team, you will shape and implement the vision for the Canadian market, with responsibility for delivering in year operation plans.

The Ideal Candidate:
• A seasoned banking professional with 20+ years of experience, particularly in Trade Finance, SME and Commercial Banking • Deep understanding of the Canadian banking landscape and regulatory framework • Client-focused approach with proven ability to drive business development • Values-driven leader who demonstrates patience and is well-grounded • Action-oriented executive with energy, drive and a record of achievement • Commercial acumen balanced with robust risk management expertise • Exceptional leadership capabilities with talent for mentoring and developing high-performing teams • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications & Competencies:
• MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Business, or related field • Proven P&L responsibility with demonstrable record of delivering sustainable growth • Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and government relations • Strong cross-border transaction expertise and international banking knowledge • Executive presence with ability to represent the bank with key stakeholders and media
